The Lara Family: A Story of Trust, Growth, and Cherished Memories
Some clients book a photoshoot, love their photos, and move on. Others, like the Lara family, turn a single session into a beautiful tradition—capturing their family’s story year after year.
It all started two years ago when Ruby reached out for a maternity session. She and her husband were expecting their first child, and they wanted to document this special chapter before welcoming their baby boy. That shoot was just the beginning. When their son was born, they returned for a newborn session—a moment of pure joy as they embraced their new role as parents.
As their family grew, so did our time together. The next time we met, Ruby was expecting again, and this time, their little one was there to be part of the photos. A maternity session had now turned into a family tradition, each shoot marking another milestone in their journey.
For their latest session—their fourth with me—we met at Lighthouse Studio in Albuquerque to create something classic and timeless. The family started in soft, all-white outfits, creating an effortless and elegant feel. Later, they switched to black, which added a striking contrast against the bright studio backdrop. As always, the magic wasn’t just in the outfits or the lighting—it was in the connection they shared.
Some of my favorite shots were the in-between moments. Their baby boys clinging to them, Ruby’s laughter at something her husband said, the little glances exchanged that don’t need words. These are the moments that make family photography so meaningful to me.
Having a family return again and again isn’t something I take lightly. It’s an honor to be trusted with capturing these milestones, to see their little ones grow, and to create images that will be cherished for a lifetime. And if you’re reading this, just know—I’d love to do the same for you.
